Assistant Health Officer for the Port
The duties of the office are those of an assistant Health Officer for the Port and will be specified on his arrival. Qualifications:- He must be a doubly qualified registered Medical Practitioner, one holding a Diploma in Public Health to be preferred.
Salary and emoluments, and whether secured by a permanent law.
$3600 a year rising to $4200 by triennial increment of $300: with Compensation, this means that half of his salary is paid at the rate of 3/- to the dollar. He will be in the permanent staff.
Other circumstances affecting the value of the office.
Nature, number, and amount of securities required, and mode of furnishing them.
Quarters will be provided or in lieu thereof house allowance at the rate of $80 a month.
He will not be allowed private practice, and must devote the whole of his time to Government.

A first-class passage out to the Colony similar to that granted to Government Medical Officers appointed from England.
